Obituary of Thomas G. Kitson

Thomas G. Kitson, of Pembroke, December 9, 2009. He was 72 years old. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Reardon) Kitson. Loving father of Karen Baxter and her husband Grant of Pembroke, and Thomas W. Kitson and his wife Allison of Ayr, Ontario. Brother of Evelyn and her husband Elmer Gorham of Marshfield. Cherished grandfather of Julia Baxter, Grant W. Baxter, Matthew Baxter, Erin Baxter, Samantha Porte, and Steven Porte. Thomas is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Mr. Kitson is a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology, and from the apprenticeship program at the Quincy Shipyard. He worked many years for Charles T. Main, and Stone and Webster, both of Boston. He was a member of the Point Independence Yacht Club in Onset for many years. He had a lifelong love of boating. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 11th from 5-8:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral service will be held at the First Church in Pembroke, 105 Center St, on Saturday, December 12th at 1:00PM. Internment will be private.
