Lloyd E. Wright formerly of Halifax, MA passed away in Norfolk VA, November 8th at the age of 95. Lloyd is predeceased by his wife Evelyn (Hawkins) Wright and his sisters Eleanor Palmer and Elizabeth Lowell. He is survived by his son; Lloyd E. Wright Jr. of VA. Lloyd worked construction in Ireland and then served in the Seabees during WWII in the Asiatic and in the Pacific. He was a Farmer and Carpenter for many years in Halifax. He was a member of; the Shriners Assoc., Masons Lodge, Farmers Club, Historical Society, Upland Sportsman Club, American Legion and Bowling League. Lloyd was a Constable for Plymouth County, and a member of the Plymouth County Police Officers Assoc.Lloyd was also very active in Town Politics. Calling hours will be held Fri. November 13th from 4-8pm at Shepherd Funeral Home 7 Mattakeesett St. (rte 14 Pembroke Center) Pembroke, MA. A service will be held Sat. at 1pm. At the Halifax Congregational Church, 503 Plymouth St. Halifax, with a burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Plympton. Donations can be made in Lloyd’s name to the; Halifax Congregational Church Building Fund 503 Plymouth St. Halifax, MA 02338.
