Obituary of George C. Martin

George C. Martin, of Carver, November 3, 2009. He was 76 years old. Mr. Martin was raised in Middleboro, and attended Middleboro High School. He spent nine years in the National Guard reserves. Mr. Martin was the assistant director of operations for a grocery warehouse in Canton, and spent many years working in shoe factories in New Bedford, and Middleboro. Mr. Martin is a retired custodian in the Carver school system, he is also a past volunteer firefighter in Carver, and the past chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Carver. Beloved husband of Patricia Martin. Loving father of Donald G. Martin and his wife Bette of Carver, Michael E. Martin of Carver, and Deborah Perry of Carver. Brother of James Martin of Bridgewater, Evelyn Bumpus of Lakeville, and the late John C. Martins, and Harry C. Martins. Grandfather of Jennifer M. Holmes, Christian A. Perry, Lance C. Wilkinson, Kyle W. Martin, and Gabriella J.E. Martin. Great grandfather of Tristan E. Holmes and Shayne C. Perry. A graveside service will be held at the Lakenham Cemetery in Carver on Saturday, November 14th at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O.
