Barbara Anne Moores, of Plymouth, October 28, 2009, she was 70 years old. Beloved wife of Carl R. Moores. Loving mother of David A. Moores and wife Tara of Norfolk, MA and Susan M. Mullen and husband Brian of Plymouth, MA. Cherished Grandmother of Kali Elizabeth, Eric David, Julia Nicole, Kevin Arthur, Aiyana Joy, and Jacob Lakih Moores and Abigail Joy, Brooke Elizabeth, Jeffrey Carl, and Carolyn Emma Grace Mullen. Sister of Paul Janes and his wife Marilyn. Daughter of the late Alvin and Emma Janes. Barbara was a graduate of Everett High School and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital School of Nursing, where she was employed as an R.N. and Clinical Instructor, she also attended Boston University. Barbara enjoyed volunteering at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, where she was President of the Auxiliary and also served as a Hospital Trustee for many years. Barbara was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Melrose. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. Barbara’s greatest enjoyment in life came from her family, and especially loved to spend time with her 10 grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, winters in Naples, FL, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 2nd from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 3rd at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
