Margaret E. Kennedy (Ryan) of Duxbury, died on Tuesday, October 13th. Beloved wife of the late CDR. Thomas L. Kennedy, U.S.N. Mrs. Kennedy leaves son John M. Kennedy and his wife Susan of Birmingham, Alabama, daughters Christine A. Kennedy of Duxbury, Kathleen M. McHallam and husband Gregory of Waldorf, MD, and son Thomas L. Kennedy II of Duxbury. Grandchildren, Katherine Kennedy, John Kennedy, Nicholas Kennedy, Peter Kennedy, and Meghan McHallam. Brother Karl J. Ryan and wife Dorothy of Middleboro and sister of the late Mary (Ryan) Reilly of Holbrook, nephew John M. Wilkins of Rockland and many other nieces and nephews. Margaret (“Peg”) was educated in Boston and attended Babson College. She worked for the New England Telephone Company until her marriage to her childhood sweetheart Thomas L. Kennedy. Her husband’s military career allowed her family to live in San Francisco, CA, Fort Meade MD, Yokohoma, Japan, Monterey, CA and Fairfax, VA. Peg considered herself to be a “Navy Wife” through out her life. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 16th from 4-7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th at 10:00AM at Holy Family Church, Duxbury. Internment will be at the Mayflower cemetery in Duxbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: American Heart Assoc. 1 Union Street, #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
