Obituary of William H. Ackles

William H. Ackles “Bill” of Halifax formerly of Belmont passed away October 6, 2009 at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Kerelak) Ackles of Halifax, children; Carol Marsden of Halifax, William Ackles of Andover and Robert Ackles of CA. Grandchildren; Robert, Brian, Tom, Steven, Allison and Great Grandchild; Hayden. Bill was a Navy Vet in WWII from 1943 – 1947. He was a member of the American Legion in Hanson and the VFW in Halifax. Bill also was in the Carpenter’s Union Local 40 in Boston. Calling hours will be held Thursday October 8th from 4-8 pm at Shepherd Funeral Home 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rte. 14 Pembroke Center) Pembroke MA. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Funeral Home Friday October 9th at 10:30am followed by a Graveside Service with Military Honors at 12:45 pm at MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
