Douglas E. Stone Jr. of Carver MA passed away August 22nd after a long illness at the age of 39. He is survived by his wife Tara L. (Skrabut) Stone, children; Matthew Stone and Abigail Stone all of Carver. His father; Douglas E. Stone Sr. of CA mother; Beverley J. Bowyer of Carver, MA and step mother June Stone of CA .Douglas is also survived by his many brothers and sisters; Betty Jean Byrne of Carver, Patricia Vandervelde of CA, Susanne Vincent of AZ, Buckley Stone of CA, Jeffrey Stone of CA, Mark Stone of TN, Jene’ Stone of CA, Christopher Stone of CA and Timothy Stone of CA. He is also survived by many Nieces & Nephews. Doug enjoyed camping and the beach and spending time with his family. He was loved by all that knew him and will be sorely missed by many. Calling hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. (Rte 106) Kingston, MA Wednesday August 26th from 4-8pm. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home Thursday August 27th at 9am with a Mass to follow at St. Peter’s Church 86 Court St. Plymouth, MA at 10am. Burial at Lakenham Cemetery, Carver MA. In lieu of flowers donation’s can be made in Douglas’ name to; The Dana Farber Cancer Foundation Jimmy Fund 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor Brookline, MA 02445-7226 ATTN: Contribution Services.
