Bridie McDonagh, of Carver, and formerly of Norwood died on July 23, 2009. She was 80 years old. Mrs McDonagh has been recognized as a leader for her community, and volunteer service including the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless, Plymouth Public Library, and others. Beloved wife of the late Martin McDonagh. Loving mother of Irene McDonough of Franklin, Thomas McDonough of Plymouth, and John McDonagh of Sandwich. Sister of Patrick (Paddy) Joyce of England, Nell Dunphey of England, Maureen Carter of Ireland, Kath Farren of England, and the late Liz Molloy. Cherished grandmother of Kelly McDonough Hussey of Arkansas, Sean McDonough of E. Wareham, and Mallory McDonagh and her mother Michele of Washington DC. Great grandmother of Kaelyn Bridie McDonough. Also survived by scores of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members throughout the world. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 26th from 3-7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 130 Main St (Rt. 58), Carver, on Monday, July 27th, at 9:00AM. Internment will be at the Central cemetery in Carver. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 130 Main St, Carver MA 02330 and/or Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless, 149 Bishop’s Highway, Kingston, MA 02364.
