Julie, Dick, Sandy & Family,
I first met Mike when he was 16 years old and working part-time at S&L. Mike was the "young kid" at the time, but you could tell he had a natural feel for the business. Dick Hopfner and Irene Nicholson were an extended part of the group, with in-house key players, Joe Cuff and Ed Holland; all lead by Dick. It really was more fun than work, and Dick, Mike, Dick Hopfner and I usually ended the summer weeks on the golf course.
It was a pleasure to see Mike develop into such a fine man over the years. I'm sure, Dick, it was a proud moment when you turned over the management of the business to Mike, and he did so well. And Mike was all about his beautiful wife and family, that I would hear about as each addition arrived.
To all members of the Lynch family, I know this is a devastating loss that can never be replaced. But you have the beautiful memories of Mike as a great husband, father and son.
My Deepest Condolances,
Steve Prinn

A Message from Heaven posted a condolence
Thursday, July 23, 2009
“When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see, if the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me, I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, and while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand, and said my place was ready, in Heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye for all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die. I had so much to live for, so much left yet to do, it seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you. I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad, I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had. If I could re-live yesterday, just even for a while, I'd say good-bye and kiss you, and maybe see you smile.
Then I fully realized that this could never be, for emptiness and memories would take the place of me. And when I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through Heaven's gates, I felt so much at Home, when God looked down and smiled at me from His great golden throne. He said, "This is Eternity, and all I've promised you." Today your life on earth is past, but here life starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last, and since each day's the same way, there's no longing for the past. You have been so faithful, so trusting, and so true, though there were times you did some things you knew you shouldn't do. But you have been forgiven and now at last you're free. So won't you come and take my hand and share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here, in your heart.”

I do not think any words can express the shock and sadness Michael's passing brings to you all and to your extended Sacred Heart family. I awoke to this today and just sat stunned in my chair.
Julie, may you know that we, your friends and family at Sacred Heart and in the class of 1983 and 1984 in particular, are with you in this time of tragedy. We are praying for you and with you. Please know that we are here for you. Please don't hesitate to reach out right now.
Eternal rest grant unto Michael oh Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. Me He watch over you and keep you, and may He make He make His face to shine upon you all. May He comfort you and your family. May He wipe away your tears. May He bring Michael and Ryan together and may they and all the angels and Saints comfort and console you. May they, and all of the faithfully departed souls, rest in peace. Amen.
