Carl H. Boman of Kingston, formerly of Weymouth, age 76, passed away on July 5th, 2009 at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.Carl was born in South Boston, son of the late Henrietta and Carl H. Boman Sr. He was a Navy and Army Veteran serving in Germany in 1955-1956. He graduated from Bentley College and Lowell Technical College. He was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the Department of Revenue for over thirty-nine years. Carl enjoyed golfing, reading, traveling and camping at Grindell’s Park in Dennisport, Longtime member of Silver Lake Chapel and Town and Country Estates Association. Devoted Husband of fifty-four years to MaryLou (Maddux) Boman of Kingston, MA. Loving father to Mark Boman and wife Juli of Weymouth, Joy Hurley and husband Michael of Kingston and Christine McCarthy and husband Paul of Pembroke. Adored grandfather of Jessica and Amanda Hurley, Matthew Lee and Samantha Boman. Brother of Richard Boman and his wife Marilyn of Easton, Michael Boman of Brockton and the late Joan French of Braintree. Survived by many nieces and a nephew. Calling Hours will be held on Tues. July 7,2009 from 4-8pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St (RT106) Kingston. Family and Friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Wed July 8,2009 at 9am followed by a funeral services at the Silver Lake Chapel in Plympton at 10am. Burial will be in Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree. Donations can be made in Carl's name; to Silver Lake Chapel 33 Lake St. Plympton, MA 02367.
