Obituary of Dana Shaw Ward

Dana Shaw Ward, 94, a life long resident of Carver, and Mayflower descendent, died May 2 at the Jordan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Judith E. (Ausman) (Maki) Ward. Father of Marilyn S. Nemec of Carver, Diane Taylor of Wareham, and the late Judith Y. Laine and the late Dorine M. Merritt. Grandfather of Elizabeth Kuzia of Carver and 13 additional grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Austin Ward, Phyllis Harriman, and David Ward. Mr. Ward was a foreman for NE Cranberry Sales and a supervisor for Ocean Spray Cranberry Co. He was an itinerant surveyor in Carver , an avid genealogist, and avid baseball fan, especially the Red Sox and he attended Carver’s Old Home Day yearly. Visiting hours from the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Carver on Thurs. May 7 from 10:00-11:00AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment in Lakenham Cemetery, Carver.
