Mary A. (Asci) Peterson, of Pembroke, died on April 25, 2009. She was 76 years old. Mrs. Peterson was born in Brockton, and raised and educated in Braintree. She graduated from Braintree High School where she was awarded the French Medal for Academic Achievement. She was a secretary at Silver Lake Regional High School for many years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for both GEM Renovations and Manhasset Gardens. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late Eugene C. Peterson. Loving mother of Eugene C. Peterson Jr. and his wife Wendy Peterson of Burlington, Susan M. Peterson and her husband James Collins of NH, Michael D. Peterson and his wife Karen Walsh Peterson of Stoughton, and Yvonne A. Fish and her husband Marc Fish of WA. Sister of Alice Welch of Braintree, and the late Anthony Asci, Florence Fein, Louis Asci, and Rocco Asci. Loving grandmother of Marcus, Kenneth, Walker, Dylan, Evan, Monica, Hannah, James, Ian, Katherine, and Mary. Lifelong friend of Jean Boyd of ME. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 29th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral mass will be held at St. Thecla’s Church in Pembroke, on Thursday, April 30th at 10:00 AM. Internment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 and/or Hospice of the S. Shore, 100 Bay State Dr, PO Box 859060, Braintree, MA 02185-9060.
