Lee Ann Coffee
Eulogy
Lee Ann’s death is a tragedy. She passed through our lives like a comet, brilliant and
beautiful. Although her passing is a sad time for all who knew her, we were all blessed
in being able to share her company and the joy it brought to our lives. Her beauty,
personality and work ethic endeared her to family, friends and coworkers.
A recent experience that I shared with her was typical of how she dealt with life. She and
Jim had just moved into their new house when they found out there a proposal for
high density development, on the farm fields and wetlands, across the
street. She called me and asked what she could do about it. I told her about the required
permitting process with the town Planning board, Conservation Commission and Zoning
Board of Appeals. She went to the town hall got copies of all the regulations studied
them and along with her neighbors attended all the public hearings. Their studied
objections to the project were successful in defeating the proposed development.
She was then appointed to the town Conservation Commission
My condolences and prayers are with Jim and his family. Jim will be raising Elora and
Jimmy by himself. I know we will all offer to help him in this important and difficult
role. LeeAnn would have done as much for any of us.

I am very saddened to hear of LeeAnne's struggle and her recent passing. I worked with her at MIT Facilities many years ago. She was always a bright, smiling face in an otherwise often gloomy area of the Campus. I will always remember that. Take Care.
