Obituary of Theresa A. Tighe

Theresa A. (Duphily) Tighe, 79, of Carver died on Friday, January 23rd, surrounded by her loving family at Island Terrace Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Robert Tighe. Born in Middleboro, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amanda Duphily. She graduated from Middleboro High School in 1947, and then received her RN degree from the Boston City School of Nursing. She worked at the Brockton VA Hospital for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the Red Sox, and sewing. She is survived by her nephew Bruce Duphily and his wife Rosemary, and her niece Diane Maddigan and her husband Ken of Middleboro. G randmother of, Jill Harris of Plymouth, Lisa Tighe, Jimmy Tighe, and Patrick Tighe of Carver. She also has several loving nieces, and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was the long time companion of Paul Williams of Carver. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 27th at Our lady of the Lourdes Church in Carver at 9:00AM. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 26th from 4-8:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Rt. 58) Carver. Burial will be at St. Mary’s cemetery in Middleboro
