Jane White Cline died Sunday afternoon January 4, 2009 at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, MA after several months of illness. In her final hours, she was surrounded in love by her family. In her younger days, Jane worked as bookkeeper and volunteered for the Cub Scouts, serving as the first Den Mother in Duxbury. She was an avid gardener known for growing amazing dahlias. Jane also loved to knit and blanketed those she loved with many beautiful afghans, scarves and other gifts from her heart. Jane and her deceased husband Bob were very active in the Duxbury American Legion Post 223. Jane was a member of the American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary for 37 years and served as President of the Woman’s Auxiliary several times. Whether selling poppies on Memorial Day Weekend, passing out hotdogs or after the parade, or organizing donations for the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Jane displayed patriotism in honoring our Nation’s Veterans.
