Obituary of Robert H. Baresel

Robert H. Baresel, “Papa B”, passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 21. He was 84. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (Smith) Baresel. Born on July 30, 1924, he was the son of the late Bertha (Hefler) and Gerhard Baresel He is survived by his two sons Paul G. Baresel of Buxton, Maine and Bruce K. Baresel of Bridgewater;and his granddaughter Erica M. Bevilacqua of Plymouth. He was also the brother of the late Karl G. Baresel. Bob was born, raised, and lived in Hanson for 84 years. He was an artist, avid reader, gardener, loved music and loved talking politics. He served in the US Army during WWII. He served as the Veteran Agent and served on the Board of Health for the town of Hanson. Burial at Fern Hill Cemetery will be private
