Obituary of Audrey H. Flaherty

Audrey H. (Ford) Flaherty, 73, of Pembroke passed away peacefully, at home, on December 21, 2008. Audrey was born on November 17, 1935. Daughter of the late Francis J. & Margaret G. (Egan) Ford, she was raised and educated in S. Boston where she lived until moving to Pembroke in 1969. Mrs. Audrey Flaherty retired from Harvard Pilgrim Health. Beloved wife of the late George G. (Champ) Flaherty Jr. Devoted mother to George G. Flaherty III and his wife Constance of Mount Union, PA, Susan Roche and her husband Thomas of Pembroke, Stephen Flaherty and his wife Barbara of Pembroke, Richard Flaherty of Pembroke, and Loretta (Lori) Ahola and her husband Steven of Halifax. Audrey also leaves fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is survived by one sister Frances Pilling of Pembroke, and many nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by her grandson Jarrett Flaherty and her siblings Carol Dickey, Robert Ford, Beverly (Dolly) Celments, Margaret (Peggy) Robinson. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 27th at 9:00AM at Our Lady of the Lake church in Halifax. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 26th at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rt. 14) Pembroke from 4-8:00PM. Internment will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pembroke.
