Obituary of Georgianne E. Doucette

Georgianne E. “Gig” (White) Doucette, 66, a longtime Plympton resident who bravely fought lung cancer, died Oct. 30. She was the wife of Robert Doucette. She was born in Brockton and educated there until moving to Halifax and graduating from Silver Lake High School in 1960. She was the proud mother of three children; Mark and his wife Jennifer of Greenbrae, CA, Christopher and his wife Faith of Plympton, and Danielle Johnston and her husband Jason of Sutton. She thoroughly enjoyed her three grandchildren; Miles, Jaydon and Jediah. She is survived by her sister Jacqui Fitts of E. Bridgewater, brothers Gene and his wife Kathy of Falmouth and Dick and his friend Laurie of Wakefield, also a dear friend Mary White of Wakefield. She was a retired secretarial aide at Silver Lake High School and formerly worked at Ocean Spray Cranberry Co. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Carver and was a former member of the woman’s auxiliary of the Upland Sportsman Club of Plympton. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., Kingston, on Sun. from 4-8. Family and friends are welcome to the funeral home on Mon. Nov.3 at 8:30AM, followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes in Carver at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Plympton. Memorial donations may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
