Obituary of Paul S. Fortini
Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Paul Fortini of Duxbury, a sophomore at New York University, died in a pedestrian accident in New York City on Friday night, September 19.
The life-long Duxbury resident was born on August 2, 1989 and graduated from Duxbury High School in June of 2007. He enrolled at NYU in September of 2007 and was majoring in East Asian Studies.
Paul is the beloved son of Kathleen and Kenneth Fortini and the cherished brother of Lisa Fortini of Somerville, MA and Kristina Fortini of London, UK.
While at Duxbury High School, Paul participated and excelled in Drama, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and Men's Acapella. He was also a member of the National Honor Society. His interests were diverse and he had a genuine thirst for learning.
Paul will be remembered and loved by his grandparents Carolyn Aune of Minnetonka, MN, her late husband David Aune, and Charles Markert of Chaska, MN, seven uncles, eight aunts, 14 cousins, and so many caring friends. We are comforted by the fact that Paul touched so many lives in our community and the NYU community, and that those he touched have been extremely helpful in this unbearable time of sorrow.

Funeral from the Funeral Home at 9am Friday Sept. 26, 2008 followed by a Mass at Holy Family Church on Rt. 3A in Duxbury on Friday at 10 a.m. and the burial will take place at the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
