Dear Ann and family, we are so sorry to hear about the passing of Russ, all of the Leahy family have very fond memories of him and will miss him dearly. I can remember as a young teen helping him and my Dad wire the house down the Cape, he helped me learn the trade. I'm sorry that we did not hear about his death until Sunday morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Auntie Anne,
You have been strong for Russ when he needed you and he would have been proud of that. I think his only worry for his own health was your well being, and I'm not sure I've ever seen such dedication in a man.
Your marriage was one of strength, commitment and sharing; all the necessary ingredients for it being so long lasting and rewarding. You two enjoyed each other's company and it showed. I know he liked making for you the home that you were so pleased to keep so beautifully.
The gift you had together was well appreciated by you. Maybe your gift now is to be able to honor him in your solo life, finding joy and daily meaning in the memories of what you shared. Uncle Russ was a good man loved by a good woman. Much more can not be expected on this earth.
I love you and will see you soon.

Dear Anne and Members of Russ's Family;
It was with deep sadness that we received word of Russ's death from John Bitzer. For some time now we were anticipating both of you returning home...home to the place he loved so much and treated with such loving care. We feel that the way Russ treated all things in his environment; with care, respect and love was so indictative of his admirable character. We know that he loved you profoundly and somehow we know he will always be watching over you. Both of you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time and our deepest sympathy goes to you and your family. Russ was,indeed, the "good neighbor" and he remains so in our hearts.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Anne in your time of grief. My memories of Wilson are many - he was such a dear friend of John's, and so supportive of me after John's passing. Russ' patriotic love of his Country, his love of you and his love of your Cape Cod home with its beautiful gardens and birds reflected many of his fine qualities.
With love,
Pam

We enjoyed many years of friendship with Russ and Anne. Russ was a pleasant conversationalist, and a "straight shooter"--we will miss this man.
