My dear friend Barb,
I am very sorry to hear about your dad. It is so hard to lose your dad, cause (just like me) we were daddy's little girl. You are left with many wonderful memories of both your parents. I remember when Jane and I were welcomed with open arms to their home. I remember your brother and his wife at the airport and me saying, "How ya'll doin? (NO G) Good memories. I love you Barb and Bill and will keep your in my prayers.
Love,
Phyllis

Judy, Barb, Alan, Donnie and family; We also share in your loss. Like Glenn, I have some of the same very special memories of Uncle Lester, especially his powerfull, sometimes painfull handshakes, his quick smile, his love for "his" Red Sox, and his ability to make up for lost sleep, not only during sermons in church, but anytime and anywhere. I too remember construction projects; helping my Dad build new concrete and brick front steps, and installing cedar shingle siding on our house in Braintree. He was always there whenever and wherever to help out family. We know your faith and close family ties will comfort you through these difficult times, and we want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you. Mel & Phyllis.

To: Judy, Barb, Alan, Don and your family.
Our prayers are with you. I remember my uncle as a quite but strong man. When I was a little guy growing up in Braintree he always had a smile when he saw me. He use to give me the tightest hand shake and I’d say “that hurts”. He’d just be laughing and say, “What’s the matta?”, while he continued to squeezed my hand.
I remember one summer he came to our home in Lewiston in the 60’s and he built a screened porch for us. He and my dad spent a week building it. The concrete block columns that my dad built fell over right after he got there. He just stood there, didn’t say much, picked it up and started all over. I don’t think he had any plans but he sure knew exactly what to do and my dad & mom really appreciated it.
I know you all have different stories that we would love to be able to sit around and talk about. I recall the story of how our mother’s traded “left-over” receipts. They went through a lot raising us but we all survived those times and we still managed to get together on Thanksgiving.
God has a place for him and some day he and I will meet up and he’ll just smile and squeeze my hand, but it won’t hurt.
Love from Glenn & Pat Goodearl, Gainesville, Florida

Dear Family,
I was saddened by the passing of your father, but know that he is in a much better place, free from all illness.
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the funeral. I don't drive long distances any more, and Bob is in Texas visiting Nancy;so he can't help out.
Our loved ones are always with us in memory, and I'm sure you have many good ones to recall.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
With love, Aunt Catherine

She speaks fondly of all of you and I know you can depend on your close family ties as you go through the next few days. Our thoughts and prayers are sent all the way from Florida. Dear Barb and Family,
Your Seven Oaks family is sad to learn of your dad's death. We all know how close you and your family are and I in particular loved the stories you shared about your dad and his remarks...we shared a lot of giggles. No doubt your dad was a remarkable man and he and your mom completed a wonderful job in raising wonderful sons and daughters. We love you and are praying for a peaceful service.
From the heart,
BJ Smith
