Obituary of Barbara T. McDermott

Barbara T. McDermott, 91, Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother Barbara T. ‘Babs’ McDermott, 91, of Duxbury, formerly of Lynbrook, NY died on June 8th. Mrs. McDermott, leaves her husband of 62 years, Joseph, a son, James McDermott of Levittown, NY, a daughter, Barbara Pye and her husband, Thomas of Duxbury, a daughter Dorothy DeCrescenzo, of Kingston, a sister, Esther Miller and her husband Howard, of Danbury, Connecticut, grandchildren Sean, Joseph, Timothy, Benjamin, Bridget, Charles, Samantha, Kristy and Daniel and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, John McDermott and Joseph McDermott. Mrs. McDermott was recently a new resident of the Village at Duxbury and leaves many new friends. Visiting hours will be at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106)Kingston, on Wednesday, June 11th, 2:00 - 4:00, 7:00 - 9:00. A Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, June 12th, 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, Duxbury. She will be interred at Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury.
