Obituary of Jarrett P. Flaherty

Jarrett Patrick Flaherty of Pembroke, affectionately called “J-rat” and “1-7” by his parents, died in an automobile accident on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the young age of 20. Beloved son of Richard P. Flaherty and Tina Marie (Ohman) Small and Step-Father Michael Small, all of Pembroke. The Small family recently returned to Pembroke from Nashua, NH. Jarrett was a devoted and loving brother to his siblings Jamie Flaherty-US Air Force, Justin Flaherty, Kelsey & Kayla Small all of Pembroke. Grandson of John Ohman and the late Alberta (Dee) (Guervermont) Ohman & Audrey (Ford) Flaherty and the late George Flaherty Jr., all of Pembroke; step-grandson to Alfred White Jr. & Freida Small of West Yarmouth. Also survived by his Aunts & Uncles; George Flaherty III of PA, Susan Roche and Stephen Flaherty of Pembroke, Loretta Ahola of Halifax, and John R. Ohman of Brockton. Jarrett leaves behind his best friend Josh Junior of Halifax and the love of his life Lindsay Ladue of Kingston and many “great” aunts & uncles, cousins and friends. Jarrett was also known by his dearest friends as Flinkin. Visiting hours at will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street (Rt. 14), Pembroke from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 2, 2008. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM, at the Center Cemetery (Route 14) Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the charity of one’s choice.
