Obituary of Leonard P. Ricketson

Leonard P. Ricketson of Pembroke died on May 26, 2008 at the Jordan Hospital after a brief illness, while surrounded by his family and friends. Leonard loved family vacations, especially Rockport, the ocean, and all kinds of music. He was an enthusiastic singer who never missed the words in a song. He was a winner of many ribbons for his participation in the Special Olympics. Beloved Brother of Laura Doherty, and her husband John of Duxbury, and Stephanie Mendelson of Lewisburg, W. Virginia. Son of the late Leonard and Mary Ricketson. Uncle of Laura Taberner of Duxbury, Alison Estabrooks of Duxbury, Heather Comerford of Cohasset, Jessica Magnerella of GA, and Noah Mendelson of Mexico. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 29th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 30th at 10:00 AM at St. Thecla’s Church, 145 Washington St, Pembroke. Burial will be at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Boston.
