Obituary of Ronald A. Freitas

Ronald A. Freitas, of Carver, passed away April 8,2008 at the Jordan Hospital at the age of 63. He is survived by his beloved wife Anna E. (Sherwood) Freitas, Keith Freitas of Carver, Tabor S. Freitas and his fiance Heather of Carver, Ashley Putignano and her husband John of Wareham, Sandra Fratus of Fall River, Mary Carville of FL,and the late Joseph Freitas. Connor J., Kobe D., Amelia E., Ava E., Annabella, Hannah, Emma, one expected grandson and many nieces and nephews. Ron was born in New Bedford on Dec. 13,1944, attended Lakeville schools and he has been a Carver resident for over 35 years. He was the owner and operator of Ron Freitas Landscape Corp. for 25 years, also a proud member of the Labor’s Union 721. Ron was a Vietnam Vet in the US Army and was awarded the Bronze Star, and a member of the Carver VFW. He enjoyed NASCAR racing especially Dale Earnhardt and taking his dog Daisy for walks and morning donuts. Calling hours will be held Sun April 13,2008 from 4 – 8PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St. (Rte 58) Carver. A funeral service will be held on Mon. April 14, 2008 at 11 AM at the United Parish Church Main St. (Rte 58) Carver. Burial with Military Honors will be held at the MA National Cemetery at 1PM in Bourne MA.
