Dorothy May (Valcourt) Santerre of Wolfeboro NH formally of Kingston died on April 1,2008 in Wolfeboro NH at the age of 91. She was the wife of the late Wilfred J. Santerre. Mother of Corinne Dodge of Derry NH, Celia Randall and her husband Bill of Wolfeboro NH and Wilfred M. Santerre of Tucson AZ. Grandmother of Dennis Dodge, Matthew Dodge, Beth Randall, Gina Randall, Becky West and her husband Carl Jr. and Ryan Santerre. She was also pre deceased by an infant granddaughter Kathleen Dorothy Randall. Dorothy was born in Duxbury on Dec 8,1916 and lived most of her life in the Evergreen/Pirlgrim St. neighborhood in Kingston, moving to Wolfeboro NH in 2000, living in the Ledges elderly community. She was the adopted daughter of Mary (Levesque) and Ernest Valcourt, born of Muriel (Johnson) Ferrell. Dorothy was first of all, a Mother, raising her own three children, and sharing in the care of friends and neighbors children alike. She was also a homemaker, home health care-giver and later in New Hampshire a volunteer worker with the activities program at a local nursing home. Calling hours will be held on Fri. April 4,2008 from 6-8pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St (RT 106) Kingston. Family and Friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Sat April 5,2008 at 9am followed by a mass at St Joseph’s Church in Kingston at 10am. Burial will be at St Joseph’s Cemetery in Kingston. Because of Dorothy’s care for all children, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either UNICEF 333 E. 38th St New York NY 10016 or Children’s Wish Foundation International 8615 Roswell RD Atlanta GA 30350-7526
