James A. Meehan, of Kingston, formerly of Quincy, died March 27 at the Inn at Silver Lake. He was 77. Born in Boston on June 25, 1930, he was the son of John and Mary Meehan. Mr Meehan served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired Boston Firefighter. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Kingston and a past member of the Quincy Yacht Club. He was the husband of the late Mary (Mulvey) Meehan. He is survived by his children; Maura L. Meehan of Hanson, Katherine MacCallum and her husband David of Pembroke, James Meehan and his wife Christine of Duxbury, his four grandchildren; Patrick Meehan, Brendan Meehan, Emily Meehan, Christopher Meehan, his siblings; John Meehan, Mary Washek, Catherine Carr, Thomas Meehan, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. Rt. 106 Kingston on Tues. Apr. 1 at 10:00AM, followed by a funeral Mass at Holy Family Church, Duxbury at 11:00AM. Interment in the MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15PM. Visiting hours on Mon. 4-8PM.
