Obituary of Jacqueline Baynes

Baynes, Jacqueline “Jackie” Matthews, of Pembroke, died peacefully, after a short illness, at the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston, on Saturday, March 22, 2008. She was 81 years old. Wife of the late Robert D. Baynes. She leaves her children: Paul K. Baynes of Athol, Melanie Baynes – Diserens and her Husband Jean-Pierre of Mont-sur-Rolle, Switzerland, and Jeanine Knox and her Husband Jonathan of W. Roxbury. Daughter of the late Lester O. Matthews and Violet (Lauzon) Matthews. She also leaves her beloved Grand daughter Daniela Diserens of Switzerland, and her dear friend of over 65 years, Ardelle Quinlan and her Husband Lawrence of Brockton. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 28th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 29th at 11:00 AM at the Center Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Book Fund of the Pembroke Public Library, 142 Center St, Pembroke, MA 02359. Memorial service will be held Saturday following the graveside at the Pembroke Public Library at 12:00PM.
