Obituary of Cornelius Donovan

Cornelius J. Donovan Jr of Kingston died on Jan. 26,2008 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth at the age of 79. He was the husband of the late Florence (Giabbai) Donovan. Father of Michael J. Donovan and his wife Susan of Weymouth, Susan Delaney-Donovan of Plymouth and Linda Donovan and her companion Mark Sears of Kingston. Brother of Clare Wadsworth of Duxbury. Grandfather of Ryan Allen of Plymouth and Rose Donovan of Weymouth. Cornelius was born in Plymouth and was a 1947 Graduated of Plymouth HS. He was the son of the late Cornelius J. and Ella (Smith). He lived in Kingston for over 40 years and worked for the State of Massachusetts as a surveyor. He was a Korean War vet in the USMC. Cornelius was a Member of the American Legion also a former Commander and past Veteran Agent for the Town of Kingston . He enjoyed sport’s and spending time with his family. Calling Hours will be held on Wed. Jan 30,2008 from 5-7:30pm followed by services at 7:30pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St (Rt 106) Kingston . Burial will be private Donations can be made to the Charity of your Choice.
