Obituary of Louise M. Comerford

Louise M. (Hollings) Comerford died Jan 22 at the Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro. She was 83. Born in Cambridge on Nov. 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Maude (Brenton) Hollings.She was the wife of the late John J. Comerford. She graduated from the Dorchester School for Girls. She was a 41 year retired employee of John Hancock Insurance Co., where she was a supervisor. She enjoyed knitting, caring for her cats, Foxwoods and bingo. She also enjoyed traveling the United States with her late husband,. She is survived by a cousin Pauline Cummings of Brockton, a cousin Ivan Etinger of Canada, and her friend and caregiver Doris Forand of Lakeville. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Carver at 11:00AM. Interment in Central Cemetery, Carver.
