Obituary of Marjorie Ness

Marjorie Lundfelt Ness, of Duxbury, age 81, died Saturday, January 19 in Duxbury. Mrs. Ness, a long time resident of Duxbury, was born in Dorchester in 1926. She grew up in Hanover, and graduated from Hanover High School, and attended Northeastern University. In 1946 she married Frank W. Ness. For many years Mrs. Ness was employed by the Proctor & Gamble Manufacturing Company where she held the position of executive secretary, tirelessly managing the demands of a career and the needs of her family. Her garden was her passion and each year a profusion of blooms testified to her hard work. Her greatest achievement, however, was as a devoted wife, loving mother, and true friend. Mrs. Ness leaves her husband, Frank W. Ness of Duxbury. Loving mother of Pamela Crowley, and her husband David of Maine, and Andrea Huber and her late husband Charles B. Huber of California. Grandmother of Melissa Huber of CT, Brian Huber of MN, Sarah Bernardi of Framingham, and Andrew Crowley of NJ. Mrs. Ness is also survived by several nieces, and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rt. 14) in Pembroke on Friday, January 25th at 11:00 AM.
