I will never forget Tom Merna. I grew up right down the street from him.He was a true character, right out of the movies. A classic gentleman and great guy ! He later helped me out while I was attending Duxbury High School. He was my guidance counseler. I was going through some tough times and Tom was always there for me.
He'd say "Hey Wipeout(his nickname for me)how have you been ? let's go talk." like it was some sort of secret meeting we were going to have.
I will never forget you Tom ! Thanks.

Please know that I am so sorry to learn about Thomas's death. I remember baby sittting at the Merna home when I was about twelve. Thomas was beloved in Duxbury and gave much to this town. My condolences to all t he Merna family that I remember so well. Abbey Road is not the same without the Merna's and the St. Johns. Prayers and love Rita St. John Welch
