Virginia (McGregor) Collins, of Duxbury, died on Dec. 2 at the Jordan Hospital. She was 88. Jinny grew up in Wollaston, and graduated from Quincy High School. In 1952, She and herlate husband Shelly Collins moved to Duxbury. Jinny was a talented tray painter and enjoyed her beautiful gardens. Over the years, she was a member of the Duxbury Garden Club, the Duxbury Booster Club, and the Marshfield Country Club. Jinny also volunteered for 25 years at the Jordan hospital, and recently enjoyed volunteering at the Duxbury Senior Center and the Duxbury Thrift Shop. Besides her late husband, Capt. Charles Collins, she is survived by a daughter Ann Collins of Naples, FL; four grandchildren, William McNeil & his wife Stephanie of Erdenheim, PA, David McNeil & his wife Melissa of N. Smithfield, RI, Jeffrey McNeil of Portland, ME and Shelley Daley and her husband Brian of Duxbury. She also leaves five great grandchildren, Brian Daley, Jr., Laning, Jessie and Jameson McNeil, and Madelyn McNeil. Jinny also leaves a sister, Ruth Walsh of Brockton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Fri. Dec. 7 at the Holy Family Church, Duxbury at 11:00AM. Interment in Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury
