Katherine M. Fleming of Duxbury and formerly of South Boston entered into rest peacefully on November 26, 2007. She was 85 years old. Mrs. Fleming was born, raised, and educated in S. Boston, and graduated from Gate of Heaven schools. Following her graduation from high school Mrs. Fleming attended and graduated from the Carney Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Fleming was a longtime nursing supervisor at St. Margaret’s hospital in Dorchester. She was the head nurse, and nurse practitioner at the medical department of the Gillette Safety Razor Company, and was a longtime and dedicated employee. In her retirement Mrs. Fleming enjoyed spending time with her family, and at her home. She was a much-adored Sister, Aunt, and friend, and will be sadly missed. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 28th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Thecla’s Church, 145 Washington St. Pembroke on Thursday, November 29th at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private at Holyhood cemetery in Chestnut Hill. Mrs. Fleming is survived by her Sisters, Bernadette M. Fleming of Duxbury, and Joan L. Keaney of Halifax. Loving Aunt of Jeanne and John Belekevich of Duxbury, Michelle Keaney of Halifax, Michael and Cheri Keaney of Kingston, Thomas and Nancy Keaney of Centerville, Gerard Keaney of Whitman, and Joanne and Robert Iadeluca of NH. Also survived 8 Great Nieces and Nephews.
