A Celebration of Life for Caroline “Bubby” (Tirrell) Mahar who died on Oct. 16, 2007 will be held on Sun. Nov. 18 at the South Meadow Village Clubhouse, South Meadow Village, Carver at 2:00PM. www.shepherdfuneralhome.com.Caroline “Bubby” (Tirrell) Mahar, 88, of Carver, formerly of Weymouth and Whitman, died Oct. 16 at the Radius Healthcare Center in Plymouth. Born in East Weymouth on Sept. 13, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Tina (Gould) Tirrell. She was the wife of the late Donald L. Mahar, sister of the late Bernard G. Tirrell, and mother of the late Shirley P. Dewey. She is survived by a sister Jane T. Riley of Gladstone, MO, two daughters; Sandra M. Combs and her husband Robert of Plymouth, Terry A. Mott and her husband Craig of Rockledge, FL, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces & nephews. She was a former professional dancer with Earl Carroll Vanities, honorary life member of the Cathy Dooley Original Follies,& Choreographer for numerous local organizations.She owned her own dance studio and many of her protégés have emerged as professional dancers and instructors as well.. Bubby’s artistic talents and zest for life has impacted all of those who have been fortunate enough to have known her. There will be a Celebration of her extraordinary life at a later date.
