John B. “Jack” Strachan, of Kingston, died Oct. 11 at the Jordan Hospital. He was 58. Born in Boston on July 28, 1949, he was the son of the late John A. Strachan and Annalene ( MacDonald) Strachan of Plymouth. He was raised in Rockland. He was a graduate of South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School in 1967, where he was the president of his class. He served with the US Army in Vietnam. He was employed in the auto body trade for several years, then before his retirement, he was employed as an automobile insurance appraiser for Aetna Life and Casualty. He is survived by his wife Judy (DeLorenzo) Strachan, his mother Annalene Strachan, of Plymouth, his son Keith Strachan of Kingston, brothers;Kenneth Strachan & his wife Donna of Delaware, and William Strachan & his wife Judi of Rockland, a sister Mary Jean Strachan of Bellingham, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Wed. Oct.17 at the Shepherd Funeral home, 216 Main St., Kingston at 10:00AM, followed by interment in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30PM.
