Edward A. DeMasi Jr of Plymouth died on October 6, 2007. He was 86 years old. Mr. DeMasi was raised in Medford, and is a graduate of Medford High's class of 1938. He was a member of the Civilian Contruction Corp. (FDR's pet project), Company #1171 in NOrth Adams. He entered into the Marine Corp and served in the 4th Marine Division during World War II, and is a survivor of the battle of Iwo Jima. He llived his married life in Quincy, and worked for Boston Edison for 36 years. He retired to Plymouth and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church. He is the husband of the late Frances (Mahoney) DeMasi, and the father of 5 sons, Edward, Ralph, Joseph, Michael, and Steven DeMasi, and 6 daughters. Joan Marie Whiffen, Diane Pineo, Paula Frizzell, Denise, Susan and Michele DeMasi. Grandfather of 17 and Great Grandfather of 13. Also survived by his siblings, Alfred, Warren and Lido DeMasi, Concetta Regan and Olga Lepordo. Calling hours held in Carver Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St. from 4-8 PM on Tuesday Oct. 9th. Funeral Mass at Blessed Kateri Church at 9AM Wednesday October 10th. Burial at MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
