Obituary of John Davidson

John Davidson III, 58, of Halifax, formerly of Weymouth and Marshfield, passed away in his home on February 18, 2018. John was born in Quincy, MA, to Dorothy C. Richardi (Galante) and John Davidson, Jr. John was a loving, compassionate, and caring son, father, companion, and friend. John was an avid fisherman and boater, and could often be found out on one body of water or another, and occasionally in it, whether intentional or not. John had an almost uncanny ability when it came to children, the elderly, and animals, which all seemed drawn to him. Despite many hardships he faced in his life, he remained a solid force of positivity. He is survived by his fiancé, Kathy Kinsman of Halifax, his son, Michael J. Crowley of Marshfield, his sisters Tracy Egerton of Halifax and Debbie MacKenzie of East Bridgewater, his nieces and nephews, Kerri Houldcroft, Bill Houldcroft, Jennifer Deneault, and Bobby MacKenzie, five great nephews and one great niece, and his many, many friends. He also leaves behind his beloved dog “Luke.” Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 22 from 4-8:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, Pembroke. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Socierty or any local Animal Shelter of your choice.
