Arlene Lovell, 94, of Duxbury died on February 4th surrounded by her loving sons. Arlene lived her entire life in Duxbury and went to Duxbury schools. Arlene loved her home town and was proud that her family came here on the Mayflower. Arlene loved helping others which showed through her professional career. Arlene was a bookkeeper at their family business, A.W.Lovell company, worked at the Duxbury Free Library, Duxbury school and was a home health aide for Trusted Health the majority of her professional career. She also loved singing with her brother Rex at WBET Radio Station and putting out 3 albums. After she retired, she volunteered at the Duxbury Thrift and Consignment shop and spent many days with the Crafty Ladies at the Senior Center. Arlene was the first female leader to be in the 4H Club of the United States, she loved spending time with her husband and friends in the North River Riders Motorcycle Club and loved spending time with her kids in New Hampshire on family vacations. She had a a contagious spirit throughout her entire life. She would hop in her son's 18 wheeler and go for day trips with him. At 85 years old, she got in a kayak to take her first kayak ride, learned how to use a computer and spent time on facebook to stay connected with everyone. She loved a nice lobster and always spending time with her three sons. Arlene is predeceased by her parents, Elise and Rexford Randall; her sister, Audrey Randall, her sister and her brother in law, Inez (Oscar) Gassett, her brother and sister in law, Rex (Marie) Randall and her husband Avery Lovell. Arlene is survived by the loves of her life, her sons, Brian of California, Tim of Plymouth and Steve of Plymouth; her five grandchildren, Amanda(Troy) Wahl, Josh Lovell, Jeremy Lovell, Emma Lovell and Travis Lovell. She also leaves behind five beautiful great grandchildren and niece's. Arlene leaves many friends, family and caregiver's behind and is grateful for each and everyone one of you. A graveside service for Arlene will be held on Monday, February 12, at Ashdod Cemetery on Keene St in Duxbury at 11:00AM.
