Paul J. Trostel, 67, of Pembroke, a retired Pembroke Police Officer, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2017. He was the loving husband of Judith, his wife of 43 years; proud father of Michael; devoted son of the late I. William and Alberta Trostel; dear brother of Jane (Raymond) Krauss, Robert (Maureen) Trostel, Ellen (Paul) Cunniff, Ann (Craig) Mello and the late Billy Trostel.
Born in Randolph, Paul was a police officer in Pembroke for more than 30 years. “Positive Paulie” had a contagious laugh and loved to spend time with family and friends. He had a kind word for everyone he met and will always be remembered for being selfless and thoughtful.
Visitation will be from 5-9:00 PM on Friday, Jan. 5th at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14), Pembroke. A funeral mass for Paul will be at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 145 Washington St., Pembroke, on Saturday, Jan. 6th at 11:00 AM, immediately followed by a reception at the Pembroke Country Club, 94 West Elm St., Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association (MA/NH Chapter), 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452, or Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360.
