Ralph B. Carver, Jr., age 90 of Duxbury, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, November 20th, surrounded by his family. Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie A. Carver. Ralph was preceded in death by his son, Brad Carver and his daughter, Martha Carver. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Emmett and her husband James, of Duxbury. Ralph is also survived by his son, Charles Carver and his wife Alicia, of Longwood, Florida. Ralph was the devoted grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Ralph had a lifelong career in the transportation industry, as comptroller and later owner of several companies based in Avon, MA. Ralph also served on the board of directors for many years, at the former Abington Savings Bank. Ralph’s hobbies included gardening, antiquing, and collecting and restoring antique clocks. He also enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his late wife, and visiting his grandchildren there. Ralph’s enduring legacy is his love that he shared with his family. Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston on Monday, November 27 from 5:00 to 7:00PM. A Funeral Prayer Service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston on Tuesday, November 28, at 11:00AM.
