Mark A. Batchelor, 55, a lifelong resident of Kingston, passed away at his home on October 4, 2017. Mark was the son of Arthur H. and Barbara (McConaghy) Batchelor of Kingston. At a young age, Mark learned the trade of metal fabrication and welding and took over his father's business, Batchelor Welding Service. He also worked for Local 88, Tunnel-workers Union, on the Big Dig Project in Boston. For the past 21 years, Mark was a Metal Fabrications and Welding Instructor at Silver Lake Regional High School. In his free time, Mark enjoyed outdoor activities to include snowmobiling, hunting, boating. Mark loved to spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son, Collin Arthur Batchelor; his sister Marsha McCosh; his three brothers Charles Batchelor, Jeffery Batchelor, and Warren Batchelor. He leaves many nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues, and students. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 9th, 2017, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street (Rt. 106), Kingston from 3-7:00 PM. A private funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 10th at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 11:00 AM.
