Obituary of John McCarthy

John F. McCarthy, 93, of Sandwich, formerly of Stoughton, died Sept. 7, 2017. Beloved husband of 62 years of Regina (Richards) McCarthy. Loving father of Theresa Whelan and her husband Daniel of Yarmouthport, Catherine McCarthy of PA, Alice McCarthy of W. Barnstable, and the late Thomas McCarthy. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Guadalcanal Campaign. John's outstanding photographic skills gave pleasure to the many who attended the McCarthy travelogue programs presented at venues on Cape Cod ...senior centers, libraries, and nursing homes. Friends and family are invited to a gathering at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Meeting House Rd., E. Sandwich, MA on Monday Sept. 11 at 10:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church at 11:00AM. Following the Mass, a luncheon will be served at the Church.
