Obituary of Marie O. Cyrus

Marie O. Cyrus (McDougall) of Halifax formerly of Weymouth, passed away Sept. 1, 2017 at Signature Health Care Hospital in Brockton at the age of 84. She was the beloved wife of the late William C. Cyrus. Survived by closest sister Gail Maguire of Rockland. Loving mother to Judy Cyrus & her husband Dave Howard of Mashpee, JoAnne O'Connor & her husband John of Hanover, William Cyrus & his wife Patricia of Sandwich, Janice Rennie & her husband David of Hudson, NH, Steven Cyrus & his wife Marie of Whitman, Robert Cyrus & his wife Maureen of Hanover and Joseph Cyrus & his wife Jessica of Halifax. Loving Nana to 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Marie enjoyed being a stay at home mom. She loved taking care of all her grandchildren but especially all the babies. She was a loving, generous and very caring mother in that our entire family is truly heartbroken and we will sadly miss her each and every day.
The family would like to thank the care givers and staff for the exceptional care out mother received at the Sachem Nursing home and Rehab Center in East Bridgewater.
Private Services will be held at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
