Ruth Jeanette Cole, 91, of North Carver, passed away on August 25, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Shaw Cole. Loving Mother to Alice B. Cole of North Carver, and James H. Cole and his wife Betty of Lakeville. She was born October18, 1925, the daughter of the late Melrose Arthur Gould, and Alice Jeanette (Berry) Gould, the fifth of twelve children. She is survived by siblings June Fluery, Jean Chase, Frederick Jennings, Dale Gould, and the late Alfred Gould, Arthur Gould, Robert Gould, Holman Gould, Sherman Gould, Keith Gould, and Donald Gould. She was a cherished grandmother to Andrew Cole, and his fiancé Leanne Feliciano, Victoria and her husband Nicholas Kilburne, and Melanie Cole. Ruth is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth attended schools in Colebrook, and Manchester New Hampshire. She was married to Lawrence Cole on June 21, 1952. They lived briefly in Plympton, and then moved to North Carver where they lived for many years and raised there family. Ruth was a homemaker, and active cranberry grower with her husband and family. She was also actively involved in the United Parish of Carver. An hour of visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 29th from 12-1:00 PM at the First Congregational Church, 254 Main St (rt. 58) in Plympton from 12-1:00, with a funeral service set to begin at 1:00. Graveside services will follow at Lakenham cemetery in Carver.
