William J. Nichols, 55, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his friends and family after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Liz (Shea) Nichols, his brother David and his wife Sherrie Nichols, he was pre-deceased by his sister Colleen Nichols and his mother Janice Nichols. He is also survived by his father David Nichols and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Billy enjoyed the outdoors, especially time with his family on their boat in Kingston Bay. He was also an avid Dirtbike rider. He was known to his friends as a practical joker with a quick wit and sense of humor. He was handy with all tools and could build anything from a shed to a house. Billy will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston on Monday, July 24, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 25, at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Billy's name to the charity of your choice.
