Sally A. (DeWolf) Dempsey, of Middleboro, formerly of Duxbury passed away on July 13, 2017 after a year long struggle with colon cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Tom Dempsey, and her step sons Tommy Dempsey and his wife Sara Wheeler of Newburyport, and Robbie and Lisa Dempsey of N. Reading. Beloved Aunt to Annette and her husband Tim White of Plymouth, and her nephews John and Dan DeWolf of New York. Sister in law to Pauline Dempsey of Bolton. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Helen L. (Snider) DeWolf. She was the loving sister to the late John D. DeWolf and Daniel B. DeWolf. She was Grandma to Davan, Ava, Aiden, Ariella, and Kayden, and the Auntie to all her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was born and raised and spent most of her life in Duxbury, and is a graduate of Duxbury High School and Keene State College. She was employed as an executive assistant at American Wholesale in Duxbury for 18 years prior to her retirement. She loved to cross stitch, spent days and nights on Duxbury beach in her many Jeeps, and loved to visit with her grandchildren, and great nieces. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 17th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 20th, at 11:00 AM at the Mayflower cemetery in Duxbury. Donations may be made in Sally’s name to Cranberry Area Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
