Obituary of Stanwood S. Ford

Stanwood Seymour Ford of Pembroke, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday June 24, at Hancock Park in Quincy. He was 86. Born on November 29, 1930 in Quincy MA to Mary Agnes Seymour and Stanwood Bill Ford. A graduate of Northeastern University, Stanwood was proud to be a Marine. In 1957 he married the love of his life, Nancy Ann Shalloo. They had 2 children, Stanwood and Lesley. Stanwood enjoyed a long career as a Mechanical Engineer at Polaroid retiring in 1996. He served as a member of the JC’s, and was active for many years at All Saints Episcopal Church in Whitman and with the Pembroke Historical Society. Stanwood is survived by his wife Nancy, his son Stanwood William Ford and his wife Phyllis Ford, his daughter Lesley Nakanishi and her husband Chigozie Antoni Iwudoh, and his 3 beloved grandchildren Aska Nakanishi, Shawn Gray, and Courtney Mason. Calling hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St, Pembroke MA on Wednesday June 28 from 10am-2pm with a Funeral service at 2:00pm.
