So very sorry to learn of Neal's passing. Though it's been a lifetime since I saw Neal, I will always remember riding with him on Mr. Herrick's bus to school, throwing snowballs at each other and Mr. Herrick. We were a month apart in age and when he became so sick with appendicitis, I worried I'd never see my friend again. I remember visiting Alice and Stan with my parents, Ethel and Paul Hiltz, or with my grandparents, Tony and Lillian Barriault, and Neal would always play with me even tho' I was a girl! He was such a good man from a wonderful family, and he made the world a better place. How lucky we were to know him and all the Merrys.
