Bernadette A. (MacDonald) Pineau passed to eternal life in the loving presence of family on May 17, 2017 at the age of 94. The beloved wife of the late Robert Pineau, she was the mother of Suzanne Pineau of Duxbury, Mary Redman of East Bridgewater, Robert Pineau and wife Donna of Duxbury, Therese Robishaw and husband Harry of Nantucket, Donald Pineau and his companion Marie Singleton of Abington, Gabrielle Pineau of Blackstone, Sara Mydlack and husband Tom of Rochester and Joseph Pineau and wife Deborah of Lake Villa, Illinois. Sister of Anita Hughes of Stratford, PEI Canada and Jack and Marion MacDonald of Montreal Canada. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bernadette (Bernie) devoted her life to her family and faith. She cherished the role of wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed her annual summer vacations to Prince Edward Island, winter vacations in Florida and friends at the Duxbury Senior Center. She loved music, playing the piano and singing while always ready for a game of cards. Her warm and welcoming smile along with her sense of humor will be missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate her life at a funeral Mass at Holy Family Church in Duxbury at 10:00 am on Wednesday May 24th. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on 216 Main Street (Rt. 106) in Kingston on Tuesday May 23rd from 4:00-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her name to Covenant House- New York, 460 West 41st Street New York, NY 10036.
